How to Reserve an NFTBox

Firstly, what is reserving an NFTBox? You will need an unused ticket for this.

Reserve, pre-order, pre-purchase. What we call reserving, is paying for your NFTBox ahead of time and knowing that you will have that box no matter what happens during the sale.

You pay for the box ahead of time and roughly three quarters of the way through the initial ticket required portion of the sale your box will be purchased and automatically distributed. If you don’t care for a low box number (remember that the IDs of the contents of the boxes are all randomized) and want to avoid the stress of a quick sale, high gas, etc then you can just reserve your box ahead of time.

You will need a ticket to reserve, otherwise this just becomes another sale. 1 Ticket + ETH Box Cost + 5% for gas = 1 Box which will be delivered on the sale day.

Step 2) Connect to Web3 — Click the connect to Web3 button which has a red circle.

Select your wallet (likely Metamask), it should turn green:

Step 3) Look for 14.reserveBoxes

There are 3 bits of information to enter here:

The top line — reserveBoxes — this is the amount of ETH you need to pay. Boxes are 0.75, gas fee which we take additionally to mint and distribute the box is 5%. This means to buy one box this number should be 0.7875.

The second line — _id — this is the ID of the box. For this sale, you want to enter 4, April, our 4thbox.

The third line — _quantity — this is how many boxes you wish to reserve. It must match reserveBoxes above and you must have as many tickets as you put here. 1 ticket, 1 quantity, 0.7875 ETH. If you have 2 tickets and want to reserve 2, 0.7875 * 2 = 1.575 with a quantity of 2.

Note I am doing this on the test network Rinkby for the screenshots. Gas will be higher on the main net. The gas to use can be found here: https://ethgasstation.info/

60 is standard, 73 is fast and 74 is trader (even quicker). I will use 74 here because I want it fast but the difference between trader and fast is so low, why not. Gas fees can and sometimes will be higher than this, please plan accordingly with your ETH balance.

So I enter the Gas price and confirm the transaction:

NOTE: If there is a red error above confirm, you have either entered some of the details incorrectly maybe you don’t have a ticket in this wallet, you can ask us about this in the discord.

If the transaction confirms you will have reserved your box.

Go take a look at your account on Opensea or Rarible, you may see something there. (The ripped ticket)

You will then be sent your box on the sale date roughly ¾ of the way into the VIP ticket sale.
